I am planning to begin making candles from my home. What is the best way to start marketing this home based business that will bring in a small amount of business that I will be able to keep up with the demenad?

I would do two things. This business screams of being on Etsy.com, and I would also create a shop at shopify.com, which is probably the easiest way to get going on your own nice store front for not a lot of money. If you can't afford or do not want to pay monthly right now, then at the very least set up an Etsy and/or Ebay account and start selling them there. There are enough eyeballs already on those sites that you don't have to do a whole lot of marketing, but obviously, that comes at a price, where you pay for listings.

If you do want to reach out and begin marketing yourself, I would definitely look for influential mommy bloggers, just a google search should turn out a bunch. You can either send them a sample of your candle or just introduce yourself and see and see how you might be able to get them to write a review for your candles and storefronts.

Lastly, I would look to see who else is in this space that is already doing well and maybe form a partnership. Some ideas are people selling fancy soaps, crafts or floral arrangements. If you can be a cohesive part of what they're doing, then you're already half way there.
